What is Paper.io?
Paper io is an online multiplayer game developed by Voodoo, known for creating intuitive and accessible mobile games. Released in 2016, it quickly gained popularity due to its minimalistic design and competitive edge. The premise is simple: each player controls a small square avatar that leaves a trail behind. Your goal is to claim territory by enclosing areas of the map and returning to your own colored base.
But what makes paper io more than just a game of drawing lines is its real-time multiplayer environment. You compete against other players doing the exact same thing — expanding, defending, and invading. The moment you leave your territory, you’re vulnerable. If another player crosses your trail before you complete a loop, it’s game over.
